چکیده

UNLABELLED Universal ontology of catalytic sites is required to systematize enzyme catalytic sites, their evolution as well as relations between catalytic sites and protein families, organisms and chemical reactions. Here we present a classification of hydrolases catalytic sites based on hierarchical organization. The web-accessible database provides information on the catalytic sites, protein folds, EC numbers and source organisms of the enzymes and includes software allowing for analysis and visualization of the relations between them. Enhancement of Soluble Expression and Biochemical Characterization of Two Epoxide Hydrolases from Bacillus

Background: Enantiopure epoxides are important intermediates in the synthesis of high-value chiral chemicals. Epoxide hydrolases have been exploited in biocatalysis for kinetic resolution of racemic epoxides to produce enantiopure epoxides and vicinal diols. It is necessary to obtain sufficient stable epoxide hydrolases with high enantioselectivity to meet the requirements of i...

Hierarchical spheres constructed by defect-rich MoS2/carbon nanosheets for efficient electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution

Highly active and stable MoS2/carbon hierarchical spheres with abundant active edge sites were fabricated by a simple micro-emulsion procedure where PVP was used as the carbon source, and carbon disulfide as the sulfur source and oil phase in micro-emulsion to control the morphology of MoS2. Hierarchical spheres of MoS2/carbon with a diameter of ca. 500 nm were obtained and characterized by sca...

Spectral-spatial classification of hyperspectral images by combining hierarchical and marker-based Minimum Spanning Forest algorithms

Many researches have demonstrated that the spatial information can play an important role in the classification of hyperspectral imagery. This study proposes a modified spectral–spatial classification approach for improving the spectral–spatial classification of hyperspectral images. In the proposed method ten spatial/texture features, using mean, standard deviation, contrast, homogeneity, corr...

Effects of Confinement in Carbon Nanotubes on the Performance and Lifetime of Fischer-Tropsch Iron Nano Catalysts

The effects of confinement in carbon nanotubes on Fischer-Tropsch (FT) activity, selectivity and lifetime of Carbon NanoTubes (CNTs) supported iron catalysts are reported. A method was developed to control the position of the catalytic sites on either inner or outer surface of carbon nanotubes. TEM analyses revealed that more than 80% of iron oxide particles can be controlled to be position...

A Hierarchical Classification Method for Breast Tumor Detection

Introduction Breast cancer is the second cause of mortality among women. Early detection of it can enhance the chance of survival. Screening systems such as mammography cannot perfectly differentiate between patients and healthy individuals. Computer-aided diagnosis can help physicians make a more accurate diagnosis. Materials and Methods Regarding the importance of separating normal and abnorm...
